Patti Mitchell, RN, owner of Options Health in North Chattanooga, will be the featured speaker at the September 16 meeting of the Complementary Health Education Organization. CHEO meets the third Saturday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. at Nutrition World in Chattanooga. These educational events are free and open to the public.
Mitchell, a certified family nurse practitioner with a background in primary care, wellness and lifestyle education, opened Options Health to offer people without insurance or with high insurance deductibles quality health care at reasonable prices. She provides traditional treatments, such as medication refills and management of acute and chronic conditions, for patients aged 2 years and up, as well as complementary treatments to boost the metabolism and immune system and provide relief from common conditions such as anxiety, pain, insomnia and obesity. Working with her are licensed massage therapists Cherish Waldrop and Frank Smith, who are certified in a variety of complementary health techniques.
“Through the combination of traditional medicine along with lifestyle education, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy and massage, we offer solutions to many conditions, often without the use of potentially harmful drugs, in an atmosphere that is low stress and conducive to relaxation and healing,” Mitchell says.
To keep patient costs affordable, Options Health uses a cash-only business structure, including a per-visit charge option or a monthly membership plan (no co-pay for insurance required). Learn more at OptionsHealth.net.
